Some People Scare Me... Oct. 12th, 2006 @ 03:17 pm
Tell me: why are some religous people so stubborn and don't think religion and fun should be in the same sentence? A new reply from a user on MySpace to my blog a while back:

"God is awesome and He is real and He does heal but He ain't no one's Bitchhowever slang the term is and whatever you mean by it it is so disrepectful to refer to the creator of the universe in such slang terminology; The fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom."

OMG, God is scary! No wonder some people are athiests lol

My response to this clearly Bush-worshipping Christian:

"No offense, but lighten up! You probly hate Christian rock as well :) I of course mean no disrespect and never understood why some people are so damn serious when it comes to beliefs; after all, that's what they are: beliefs. Relax; life is long so have fun; don't take this so seriously."

What in God's name is wrong with people today? Some people literally scare me. No wonder nearly half the world hates America now (thanks to Goerge "I give Christianity a bad name" Bush).

God Bless you all.

My Heart and Soul... Oct. 6th, 2006 @ 01:58 am
Did you ever wanna cry and pour you heart out and yell "Fuck!" to the world at the same time? That's how I feel right now.

An artist is the worst person to get extremely lonely, I tell ya. It sounds odd, but many a time, I feel as if I am on a much higher plane than most others; in a way, perhaps too good for this world...

The new song on my MySpace profile -- put up today -- is extremely beautiful and is a perfect representation of my heart and soul.

Save the Mountain View Farm! Sep. 20th, 2006 @ 09:37 am
The fight to preserve historic Grant Road farm in Mountain View!

Did you know that California has the richest/best soil in all of America? Who knew? Obviously, not many ... because developers keep bulldozing our precious environment after city councils give them the OK!

This is a cause which I feel extremely passionately about and am working to promote:

http://mvfarmland.org/

I sincerely hope that you take part :) If you can, please promote it as much as possible. Any local farm is always worth preserving, especially now, when more and more are unfortunately vanishing.

If you care about the well-being of this planet, the environment and our future, then I strongly urge you to become involved!

Yes, this is about preserving a valuable asset to our community. But, in a way, it is also about more than that; it is about making people aware of the environment, substainability, and how and why it needs to be protected for the good of ourselves as a society and as a planet.

In that case, we don't just need support from the community of Mountain View; rather, we need support from wherever we can get it; however far away we can get it. People need to wake up and realize that the environment -- our environment -- is so very precious, and so vital to our existence and where we come from, and with every parcel of farmland/open space destroyed, we are killiing ourselves and our future faster and faster.

When you go outside and stand in an open meadow or field, with the sun shining down and the wind in your face, let me ask you this: are material things really that much greater than the experience you're having right now?

Please pass this post on

Go0 is My Bitch! Sep. 15th, 2006 @ 09:07 am
No poetic composition for now, but hopefully soon. In the meantime, finally ... an update on my exciting life.

First off, God is awesome. A friend -- who I know from AMT -- introduced me to a longtime friend of hers who works through God to heal people. I don't care if any of you are skeptics; all I know is that that evening after the annointing, after he prayed over/annointed my legs and spine, my leg muscles felt much stronger -- which they still do at this very moment -- and my back is perfectly straight (I used to hunch when I walked) Plus, I can walk better without using the walker; not great, but much better than ever before. It is literally like I am getting stronger every day. God is real, and is, like, so totally my bitch!! Hey, that would make an awesome tee shirt :).

He also prayed that I get to New York. Hopefully, that will materialize soon.

As for musicals, Brooklyn was fun. Diana DeGarmo and Melba Moore were awesome, and I loved the creative use of sets as costume pieces. Whatever the show lacked in emotional depth -- which, I hate but have to admit, was a lot -- was made up for in powerhouse vocal performances and awesome effects. My next musical is once again at AMT, next Wednesday with Sweet Charity ... in the first row! I got totally lucky, as subscribers had evidenly exchanged their tickets just as I logged in. I am so stoked. Molly Ringwald is like a cult icon for all us '80's kids! As for their next local production, King & I, after the final day of Summer Conservatory, I asked if I could go backstage to meet Debbi Boone, and the artistc director replied with an enthusiastic "of course," so that will be very awesome.

Concerts? Tom Petty on the 29th, Huey Lewis the following day, the great Bob Dylan October 17th, Bridge School Benefit October 21st and 22nd (going to both concerts as always), and the greatest rock band in the history of mankind, Aerosmith, on November the 2nd! Panic! at the Disco is on December 5th in San Jose, and I so want to go, but am still up in the air for that.

My birthday was on September 2nd, and was rather uneventful. Went out to dinner with my Gramma, returned home for cake, and opened a few gifts (money, and a couple of shirts). Really. That was the jist of it. And at dinner, I barely spoke ten words. I don't know why; I am just extremely, extremely shy and introverted.

Well, that was quite solemn. To end on a good note, I had a hair appointment today, and now have a totally cute and totally awesome new style. I will have photos up next week ... finally, I know.

Alright ... until next time ... do not shop at Wal-Mart, and only buy your books from independents!

"Of a Dove" Sep. 12th, 2006 @ 11:33 am
I "promise" to get a real entry up soon. I wrote this yesterday, though, and had to post it. Not sure if I am totally happy with the end result, but here ya go:

"Of a Dove"

How have I,
Come to this,
With a single kiss we,
Fell in love

Two hearts guided as one,
It was love at first sight,
Through the milky way sky,
And beyond

We fly towards the moon,
And the stars glistening in the night.
And the future,
Never knowing what it may hold.
And the pain and the strife,
And the dancing through life,
And the uncertainty we must face,
On our own

I love you for all the wrong reasons,
I know its true,
I know you do as well,
But I will keep loving you

For its the only thing that I know how to do

All that really matters is you

And on the wings of a dove,
We shall soar through the clouds,
Up to the heavens and beyond,
To catch a falling star

For you, my dear, I give to you,
This token of love,
From the wings of a dove,
That shall guide us through and through

I Need Advice Sep. 8th, 2006 @ 12:59 pm
I am posting this again:

I am in a dilemma. I miss acting so so much, and am contemplating adding it at school for the coming quarter. On the other hand, the last time I took a class there, I became so utterly depressed because at my school, barely any students take theatre, and half of those that do don't seem to give much of a damn, and plus, I wasn't getting anywhere.

Then again, I miss acting so so much, and being physically disabled limits the already limited theatre oppurtunities around here (San Jose is said to have a thriving theatre scene, but in reality, there isn't much).

Hmmm...

"My Soul" Sep. 3rd, 2006 @ 07:47 pm
A new composition; wrote it just now. Not one of my best, but extremely reflective of how I feel right now and who I truly am. I was actually thinking of someone while writing this. Enjoy...

"My Soul"

You'll never know how much,
I truly love you, my dear;
In my heart, in my dying soul,
I need you to be here

I need to see that face, those eyes,
As an angel gazes into mine,
Uncovering a dying soul,
By a resurrection to be made whole

As the night rushes in on the setting sun,
So too shall our hearts become one;
And seek that which few have ever found,
The holiest of loves on the holiest of ground

And tonight, my love, while you're asleep,
I shall pray that you might see,
The angels that have brought you to me,
A soul crying out; a soul in need
